Our main products are floor-to-ceiling cat trees, custom-made for your exact ceiling height. You choose how many levels your cats need and the combination of wood, rope and textiles. We build a slender structure that takes almost no floor space, stands securely without drilling and can be assembled on your own at home.

Our cat trees are engineered for everyday life with cats: a stable metal-core pole, durable scratching surfaces, replaceable wear parts and quiet, timeless colours that settle naturally into demanding interiors. Each tree is made responsibly, using carefully selected and traceable components from partners we trust. We believe in thoughtful, sustainable consumption — eco-friendly materials, long product lifetimes and the possibility to repair rather than replace.

Alongside our cat trees, we craft wall-mounted shelves, ladders and feeding tables.

In addition to Kissapuu products, we also offer a small, curated selection of cat toys, bowls and care essentials from ethical partners whose standards match our own.

Kissapuu was founded in 2017 by Finnish entrepreneur and lifelong cat enthusiast Satu Suhonen from Kaarina. She searched for a cat tree that supported her cat’s natural need to climb and scratch while also being durable, adaptable, space-efficient and beautiful in any room — and found none. So she created one.

The name comes from Finnish: kissa means "cat" and puu means "tree". So Kissapuu is simply the cat tree. Born in Finland, Kissapuu quickly made its way into cat homes across Europe and beyond.

In autumn 2025, Kissapuu became part of Kössling Oy, a family-owned company based in Savitaipale. The philosophy remains unchanged: timeless design, responsible production and furniture that respects both cats and interiors.

Kössling Oy is a family-owned company run by the Kezling family. We live and work surrounded by the untouched nature of South Karelia, in the heart of the world’s happiest country (yes, Finland has held this title for the eighth year in a row in 2025).

All Kissapuu products are designed and manufactured in Finland. The main wooden components are made in a carpentry workshop in Naantali. Cushions and sleeping pads are sewn by a local upholsterer in Kaarina. Most components come from Finnish or European suppliers we know personally. We choose partners who share our values of quality, traceability and responsible production.
